Located in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont, accessible by highway I-91 at the exit in Barton, Willoughby Lake is a unique vacation spot. You will find all the outdoor sports, as well as country stores, church fairs, antiquing and great scenery to keep you busy.
A Vacationers Paradise
As a vacationers paradise, visitors in the summer months enjoy swimming,
boating and fishing, as well as hiking and biking the many trails in the area.
The fall brings a tremendous kaleidoscope of foliage. Varieties of maple and
birch, as well as beech, grace surrounding mountain ranges that bring forth
a brilliant array of color. Vermont is called the Green Mountain State because
of the prolific growth of our balsam pines. Here in the Northeast Kingdom
you'll find fields of Christmas trees made up of balsam and fir pine.
In the winter months, snowmobilers pass through the lake area on the VAST
Trail that is located at the north end of the lake. We are also world known in the ice climbing arena to
the best cliffs to climb in Northeastern United States. The area offers Nordic skiing at the south end of Willoughby State Forest and also downhill and Nordic skiing at Burke Mountain and Jay Peak Ski Resorts. The nearby Craftsbury Nordic Center in Craftsbury, Vermont is also well known.
Our Vacation Rental Properties
Affordable, convenient and on the shores of one of the country's most idyllic and pristine lakes, I am pleased to present our vacation property listings.
Our weekly rates for vacation cottages and homes vary from $600 to $2,200. All the properties are privately owned and used by owners as well as renters. Most of our rental units have a sandy beach just steps from the door. You may find housing that is located on and off the water. The shoreline at Willoughby varies so that some places are remote with steep banks and others are more easily accessible with flat terrain and a sandy beach.
Rentals vary in size and accommodate 2 to 10 people. Occasionally the homes can be used for family gatherings or small groups.
