The fall brings a tremendous kaleidoscope of foliage. Varieties of maple, birch, and beach grace surrounding mountain ranges that bring forth a brilliant array of colors.
Vermont is called the green mountain state because of the prolific growth of
our balsam pines.
In the winter months, snowmobilers pass through the lake area on the VAST trail that is located at the north end of the lake.
Lake Willoughby is also well known in the ice climbing arena as providing one of the best set of cliffs to climb in northeastern United States.
The area offers nordic skiing at the south end of the Willoughby State Forest and also downhill and nordic skiing at the Burke Mountain and Jay Peak ski resorts. The nearby Craftsbury Nordic Center in Craftsbury, Vermont is also a focal point for nordic skiing.

Affordable, convenient and on the shores of one of the country's most idyllic and pristine lakes, I am pleasesd to present our vacation property listings.
Our weekly rates for vacation cottages and homes vary from $900 to $3,600.
All the properties are privately owned and may be used by owners as well as renters. Most of our rental units have a sandy beach just steps from the door. You may find housing that is located on and off the water. The shoreline at Willoughby varies so that some places are remote with steep banks and others are more easily accessible with flat terrain and sandy beach.
Rentals vary in size and accommodate 2 to 10 people. Occasionally the homes can be used for family gatherings or small group
